Mobius Scholarship Program

Mobius is committed to our community and the children within it. It is our belief that all children regardless of race, creed, gender, disability, or socio-economic status have a right to experience the benefits and fun of hands-on learning. The Mobius Scholarship Program makes this possible by providing complimentary group visits and six month family memberships.

GROUP VISITS

Scholarship group visits are approved on a first come, first served basis and can only be considered if there is funding available.

Scholarship Details
  • Group visits MUST be approved prior to scheduling a visit. Due to limited funding, applications cannot be applied towards a previously scheduled group visit. An approved application is required prior to scheduling. 
  • Group visits are for 10 or more children and their adult chaperones, maximum group size 50 (including children and chaperones).
  • Chaperones are required. Chaperones within required ratio (1:5) are free. Additional fees are required for siblings (over 12 mo), adults, and extra chaperones.
  • Group visits are scheduled for 60 minutes. Funding covers self-guided fee only. STEAM Workshop fees are not covered by the scholarship program.
  • Once application is processed, a Mobius scheduler will reach out and let you know if the scholarship is approved. If approved, your visit will be scheduled at that time. Approval of your requested date/time will be based on availability. 
Qualifications

The Mobius Scholarship Program is available to groups who qualify for at least one of the following:

  • Children attending learning centers, schools, or classrooms in which 50% of the population receive free or reduced lunch.
  • Children attending daycare centers that receive State funding for at least 50% of their children.
  • Children attending any Federal Even Start, Head Start/ECEAP, and Early Head Start Programs.
  • Children identified by those social service agencies that assist families who are economically disadvantaged or considered at-risk.

FAMILY MEMBERSHIPS

Scholarship memberships are approved on a first come, first served basis and can only be considered if there is funding available.

Scholarship Details
  • A Mobius Discovery Center Family Membership provides unlimited visits to Mobius for six months
  • Includes two adults and up to 4 children under 18 in a single household.
  • Applicants are eligible to apply for two memberships per year, membership approval based on funding availability.
  • Once your application is approved, your new membership cards will be mailed to the address submitted on application.
  • Additional caregivers can’t be added to scholarship memberships.
  • *PROOF OF INCOME REQUIRED WITH APPLICATION, SEE HOUSEHOLD INCOME CHART.
Qualifications

The Mobius Scholarship Program is available to participants who fall within our approved income levels (see chart) according to their household size and at least one of the following:

  • Children who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program.
  • Children attending learning centers, schools, or classrooms in which 50% of the population receive free or reduced lunch.
  • Children attending daycare centers which receive State funding for at least 50% of their children.
